looks like it has some sort of "back-out" bit on one side, a tapping bit on the other, and a socket end, and something else (with the slot.) So what is it? what's it for?
sorry it's a blurry cell-phone pic...

thanks!

Re: what's this tool?

the small end of the t is used to remove the valve from the valve stem the larger portion is used to scew into the valve stem when mounting a tire so the valve stem with the tube doesnt fall out of the hole and into the rim during the mounting process

Re: what's this tool?

It looks more like a grease fitting tool to me. (1) the smooth sivler end fits straight fittings. (2) the notched silver end fits 90 degree fittings. (3) the black spiraled end is a easyout to remove broken fittings. (4) the our black end is a thread restorer to repair damaged threads.

that actually does look like it would work for that pretty well. i was thinking air stem as well, but maybe not?

edit:
Ahh, yes. it appears to be a grease fitting tool. http://www2.northerntool.com/product-1/200303977.htm Thanks for getting me on the right track, i had no idea where to begin...

Re: what's this tool?

I guessed the valve stem tool because I have never seen, much less ever used the grease fitting tool, and it looks to be the grease fitting tool, thanks for the education.

Now I won't have to throw away a ball joint because the fitting broke.
