Welcome to the board from West Michigan!
The doors can spread causing this problem. How wide is the opening between the outside half of the door and the inside half? Jim |

WELCOME to the board

I'm not sure where you mean either. If you are talking about where your arm would lay if your window is down there is a felt strip on the inside and a rubber strip on the outside. The rubber strip is wider and seals against the glass... How about a picture? LockDoc |
Re: Weatherstripping troubles
Yes the gap is on the outside of the window. between the window iteself and the outside felt. ill work on getting a picture. glad i found a good forum that has good people on it who are willing to help!

Re: Weatherstripping troubles
Welcome from sunny Seattle...well at least today. The outside is not a "felt" anti-rattle strip but a "rubber scraper" that is wider than the felt "anti-rattle" strip on the inside. Also check the metal spacer/bracket that is spot welded to both the inner and outer skin of the door to maintain the gap distance. It is located just below the wind wing so it does not interfere with the door glass when it is rolled down.
Good Luck. |
