Dumb question, but what are they? Why would you want them?

They let you move your axle forward and backward, also add slight lift without changing ride quality... Here's some info

I just located mine back 1 inch when i put on new offset perches. Figured if i was going to have to cut them off, i might as well improve them while i was doing so.

There not a block a block id only suported by the u bolts and the little bit of guid pin from the spring pack. ) rates are part of the spring plate when you use them you have to use a new spring pin that goes all the way through it its just like having one of the leafs on the spring pack you have that was cut off on the ends so that it would not efect the stock spring rate so it feels like you still have a stock ride. I used a set in my blazer to get rid of sagy but that they have.

My perches are actually 1 inch taller than stock, but they are welded to the housing. Basically same idea, just more effort. Springs are 4" Superlift. My 12 bolt was out of a 77 chevy, so i had to move everthing on it. I would have just found another rear end to fit my Blazer, but i already had this one. The old one that was in it had broken the welds loose from the center section making unusable. The previous owner welded it up, but was no where close to where it was supposed to be. It actually sat down in the middle 1" lower than it should have along with one of the tubes rotated more than the other. I also installed 4.10 gears and an Eaton posi while i had my new rear end all apart.

The relevance of the center pin is minimal...it is still just a block, with all if the leverage disadvantages of a block. The fact that it is only an inch thick makes that not a huge factor, but it is still there. On the back, it would be ok, but I wouldn't combine it with another block. I wouldn't use it on the front at all.

Yep, all the bearings were replaced, actually only the housing did not get replaced with a new one. It was sandblasted after it was all done. Here is a completed pic.
