Is it GM or Dana
 
what 3/4 ton front axles has GM used?
and did Dana-Spicer axles have GM markings on them?

I have found an axle but cant tell what it is
diff cover looks like a dana but has GM cast on the housing

im really lost
any help would be helpful

From 79 (around that year) on up it was the GM corp 10 bolt front axle and before 79 or so it was the dana/spicer 44.70 -up was the open knuckle,closed was 69 -older.
The Corp has more of a round cover than a dana axle.

It Looks like a dana 44 or 60
but it has gm on the housing
is that normal

No it is not, probably a 10 bolt, what year is the axle out of

Dont know
the po swapped the axles out
he was planing to make the truck a mud truck
my guess is a late 70's early 80's

upon further inspection
it seems to be a 10 bolt
