anyone got any pics or info on a 6v53 detroit in a 86 c30
 

i am going to be installing a 6v53 detroit diesel in a 86 chevy c30 does anyone have any pics or info on anybody that has done it. Anything would be helpfull, oh and it will be mated to a allison 4 speed out of a school bus. thanks.:crazy:

Will it fit? I've never seen a 6V53, but I have seen a 6V92 and it is a MONSTER.

I can get pics of a 4v53 with a 4 speed (78 Chevy C-30 dually 2WD) or a 3v53 with an Allison automatic (78 C-10 2wd SWB).

what kinda deisel is this..is it a chevy,,not to up to par on deisels...but i would love to have one that was realiable in my dually in a couple of years..i want my 454 to go into my next project truck one day...

to pyrotechnic ............ a 6v53 is much smaller than a 6v93, a 6v53 is about the size of a 454 and just a little heavier. 6v53 = 318 cu.in 6v93 = 558 cu.in I have seen a 6v53 installed in a 92 gmc 3500hd so it should fit.

to 79silv4x4 .......... ya pics of those converions would be cool to see but they are much smaller than a 6v53 but i would like to see them.

Man I'd love to have one of these pushing an SM465.

I'm not sure how much they go for used, but I know on ebay people treat these motors like gold. They seem to be very expensive in general.

ya i know they pull some coin on ebay i got my 6v53 out of a 73 white oil truck for free, if you are looking for one try local junk yards they were used in school buses alot.
