who sells a good battery tray?

My 69, like most old trucks has a rotted battery tray. My buddy bought one offf e-bay and it was a flimsy piece of cr@p. We are looking for a good, solid battery tray. Who has good luck with vendors? Is there such a thing as quality aftermarket parts?

I bought mine through gmcpauls.com. I believe it is made by tri-plus it is a good piece took a little work getting it in, but overall it is good.

I bought one from Kenny's (Tulsa) at a swap meet on Petit Jean Mountain (Arkansas). Used stainless steel bolts that I bought elsewhere and am on my third battery since I put it in. Looks good, still.

Seems like there is one for A/C trucks and another for non-A/C. If I remember right, I bought the non-A/C unit and did a little modifying of the parts to put it together and make it work.

retodd, I've had problems with the battery trays on my vehicles also. If I remember correctly, I got mine from the dealer about 15 years ago. Don't know if they still sell these parts.

I did start using a plastic tray on the bottom of the batteries and I haven't had any rust problems since.

I don't remember where I got the tray, though...

Most of the board vendors here sell them. TriPlus is the best for Quality for plain steel ones. You can also get them in stainless steel as well. I have made them out of 1/8" stainless plate as well. Not stock but look good. We sell the stainless steel assemblies for $89.00 You can paint them black to keep a stock look to.
Find a board vendor close to you.
