Installing PS on a 6 cyl

When I bought my truck the PO gave me a bunch of extra parts. I think that I have a complete power steering setup off a V8 model. Is there any way to adapt this to my six cyl?

I don't know of a way to mount the 8 pump brackets on a 6.The rest of it should work.6 Cyl pump brackets are somewhat scarce, but you might find a set on the parts board.

Yes- just cut and weld. Sorry.

Seriously though, no they won't work, nor will the pump due in part to the inlet and outlet hoses and their location.

Not sure if you can get them anymore, but I went to the local Chevy dealer to get my mounting brackets about 8 yrs ago. For the most part they're like any 250 GM 6 cylinder vehicle. Now the pulleys and such, I'm not sure about. I got those from the junkyard...

I guess going to the dealer is worth a shot, Used ones are looking a little pricey.
