Drive it for at least a year then next fall.Drop it 2 1/2 /4. Then see if you can burn your kids inheritance up in fuel.

i'd drop it and put some bigger wheels on it. i think if you were careful, you could sand the wood in the bed and re-clear it. i've used tung oil on stuff before and it turns out awesome. it's time consuming, but the plus side is if you get a bad spot you can refinish just that spot. that's all i'd do to it.
