1 or two piece? I've got a couple of two piece swb shafts about an hour east of Shreveport. $35 each.

im not really sure, when i bought the truck the po said that the original drive shaft was in the bed. but its way to short, and dosent sit in the rearend yoke right. so i have nothing to go by. anyway to tell if the truck is set up for a 1 or 2 peice?

If it was a original 2 pc set up it has a carrier bearing support at the middle cross member "arrow is pointing to".

If it was a one pc drive shaft, no bearing support. It probably came with 6 cyl and a manual trans as shown in photo.

I agree, Find one at a j-yard that is longer. My local guy can shorten one for 45.00, but making one is some money.
