I personally think a sub offers you more creative freedom than a pickup. You don't need any rear seats or you can have up to 4 rows, like I have sitting in mine now.

You don't have to run plywood, what about a metal floor from a pickup or even a nice bed wood floor with stainless strips (this is what I'm planning).

When it comes to headliners, you can go stock, or I've seen them covered with elaboarate wall papper or just some foam headliner material.

There's more room for amps, speakers and subwoofers if that's your thing.

Or how some jump seats mounted to the side? Kinda like the land rover series III used to have.

I wish you luck. My guess is you already have a Vision.

Hmmm, never thpought of the diamond plate... that could be interesting. Looks nice too.

I don't already have a plan... not for the inside anyways. I'll know when i see it though. I kinda like stock, with some flair. Even though the plans *dreams* for the body and suspention won't be stock. :confused:
Here's the thread ;

Here's the trucks;

72 C/20 402/Th400 front and rear A/C mangled passengerr front door, miminal rust.
The red white and blue one, is 1/2 ton p[arts, a passenger door, maybe barn doors upon inspecting them, it'll have a nice 68 nose in the back, and the rest will be parts and or crush weight.

Looks like you have one burb and one crew cab project there. I would slam the burb to the ground and use the blue parts burb for a crew cab convertion. I dotn have any sats at all in my burb write now noth just an empty shell. but I did pic up a set ouf bucket seats from a scout now I just need to find one more matching set so I can have 2 rows of bucket seats and one bench. I was going to do the dimond plate in the back but Im not sure now if thats what Ill do. Frizzle has a cool set up with the wood panneling.

New project Longhornman, that fist yellow burb looks like a great starter. Wish I could find one when I had the money...

Only interior pictures I have, good topic though,.. I like the simplicity of it. mine is all stock now, If I do anything it will probably be buddy buckets, or a recover of original benches, seat covers that are on it now cover worn out original cloth.

So far all I have done is put a 25 cent plasitic coffee cup counsel on floor and a fishermans green floppy hat on dash to cover a crack.

I think the room in the back is Awsome.

p.s everything I have just said may go out the window if I keep looking at pics of other Members rides and get a wild hair idea. ... life is good,kent

Nice burbs Longhorn. Where did you find such nice steel in ohio?

My sub has some kind of van conversion seats in the front. They are kind of 70's chick. The rear seat is a fold down version from a 73+ burb.

Re: Burb Int shots?

I gotta say, this floor is AWSOME!
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1187973089

Does the wood floor support the weight of the bodylike the wooden bed floor in a trucks does?

Frizzle Fry 08-25-2007 12:27 PM

Re: Burb Int shots?

I know, it's nice huh? That's my plan, but with chrome strips. One cross-sill is supported by the frame on rubber body mounts (the one with all the square wood chunks in these pics):
http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...1583Medium.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...g?t=1178508482

The one in front of that, between the wheel tubs is floating. But, those are not an integral part of the body structure. I know because I've driven around without them for months :rolleyes:

One thing to consider however is that you need the floor to seal up as well as possible, unlike a truck bed. So I plan to either lay the wood on top of sheetmetal, or just seal the backside with an undercoating/bedliner type product after install.

Sure thing chief. There won't be much on it, but there will be a burb body and a full frame. I'll need to blow that sucker apart with the quickness too, so it'll be somewhat soonish. (before the snow flies)
There is a title for it too I'm told. :)
