lowering/tires/rims....Q? is anyone here running...?

Ok, I know this subject is over talked about,... BUT...
Is anyone here running a 2.5" front drop, 4" or 5" rear drop...
(here's the key thing for me)
With a 255/70-15 or 235/75-15 tire up front & a 265/70-15 tire in the rear?
OR if your running big rims...
a 28.9" or 29" tall tire up front & a 29.6" or so tire out back?

I'm thinking of running this combo on my project truck. But am nervous about this exact combo. I've never ran such a small tire height difference...
I've always ran (personal rule) 1.5" to 2.5" stagger in suspension lowering (ie... 2.5"/4" or 2.5"/5") then (next personal rule) 1.5" stagger in tire sizes(example... 27.5" tire in front w/ 29" tire in rear) I've never ran the front to rear tires so close in size... I'm wondering if this exact combo would work visually for me...
I'm just hoping someone has this combo already, if not,... then something close to it...

Show me what you got, anything CLOSE might help...

And for my next personal opinion....
I think any tire shorter than about 27" tall (255/60-15) looks wrong on our trucks,... now before you start hating me... some of these big rim trucks flirt with this and pull it off, they look good. But, I guess what I'm saying is... I don't really like the small diameter tire look to much...
remember, just my opinion....

fro a 2.5 drop in front... id only drop it 3 or 4 inches in back... and run about a 305 70R 15 tire on a 12 in wide rim. in the rear... i just like big tires in the back lol. and in front a 255 65R 15 on a 10 in wide rim in front...

Here's mine. It'll make you throw up in your mouth a little, but it does have a ~2.5/5 drop. Tires are 235/75/15. Hey See Ten, have you ever owned a vehicle that wasn't gorgeous? :)

That's what happens when you and your roomates get drunk and decide to start sanding and priming your truck.

Hi Brian,

Here is my '71 with a 3.5" drop up front with 255/60/15 on 8x15 wheels and 5" drop out back with 275/60/15 on 10x15 wheels. If I had not put the 1" drop springs and let it ride on only the spindles, I think the truck would sit level. I had hoped to drop it another 1" out back but have interference issues (rear is leafs). Not sure what the overall diameter of the tires are but I am sure you know.

Mark
