Need advice on whether to buy or not...

This is for sale about 2 blocks from my house. It is a 71 Cheyenne custom sport truck. Original owner, CA truck. The good is it is probably the most rust free truck I have seen. NO rust in the rockers, doors, cab corners, supports, even under the battery is 100% solid. Original paint and body panels are straight except for a dent in the passenger rear panel. grill has the obligatory dent in the driver side front top part by the fender. otherwise all deluxe chrome is intact.
Original engine, trans, AC Car with all pieces intact but belt is off. Nothing special on the spid, no posi 12 bolt, heavy rear spring, power steering and brakes, etc. Seat, dash, steering wheel, carpet is toast.
I have 2 weeks of vacation saved up. Should I pick this up and deliver it back east to you poor rust belt folks? Is it worth the trouble? It's $1250 by the way.
thanks for your opinions.

This is exactly what I need. If I read the post correctly (I am at work - brain not functioning correctly) you are planning to resell it? If so I would like a chance at it.

That's a great price for the lack of rust. I can't afford it though... This is one vote to resell to HeavyD if that's what you meant.

Well worth the price! I don't know what you would have to get out of it to make it worth your while to move it to the rustbelt.

Heavy D. I cannot keep the truck, so I have not bought it- yet. The owner said he's going to sell it to the first person with cash, so time may be running out. I said I would get back to him by 6:00 today PM western time. But the old lady won't let me take the money out of the bank without a sure re-sell. PM me and we can discuss a way to make this work, but I know I can't be driving to Canada.

What's something like this worth east of the Rockies? I may be able to pick it up if I could guarantee the wife we could sell it during a rented RV trip within the states.

My whole idea is it would be a great road trip delivering a rust free car to where it will be appreciated and possibly pay for the gas of the trip. :metal:

If you were to clean it up, and maybe even get a small shine on it... and assuming it runs and drives as good as it looks (although it looks like it's sat for a while) You would certinaly make a profit if you had some one in this area to sell it for you.
