np, go look at www.garagejournal.com You may hate me for it buit that is where the nicest of the garages I have seen are.They are fairly friendly over there and have a mix of guys like here some lowbuck and others that are over the top.

Here is what I just got finished. I had it built for under $23,000.00 That was turn key less sheetrocking. I did that myself.

24' x 28' with a upstairs room with storage.

Andy, this is close to what the city codes will allow me to build. I am going with a max of 28x30. what are you using for heating and cooling? I plan on heat and cooling up and down levels. Did you put in a 1/2 bath? Where are your stairs? I plan on a 3/4 bath upstairs as well. Man, 23k is just getting in waist deep for me!

these horizontal boring machines are amazing. They set up in the alley to run underground service for power water and gas. the pic's show going from the alley to the house. they went under the patio below the front tire of the truck and up under the house footings. A 2" hole that was less than an inch from where we wanted. I was totally amazed that he could go under the house footings at 4 foot deep and then come almost straight up. From the alley to under the house was over 120 feet. Cool stuff!
