How can I use 71 door panels on my 72?

Is there some sort of fastener that will allow me to use 71 door panels on my 72 doors? The holes in the door are about three times bigger than the holes in the door panel.

I bought the entire interior because it had already been recoverd, etc. So, if I can make use of these panels it will really help alot.

I made a bunch of inserts with the proper threads to tack in their place. I think the factory used a push nut made of plastic maybe. If you know someone with a lathe it's a piece o' cake to make them.

THere are plastic inserts that go in the holes on the '72. They look square with the hole in the middle IIRC.

The window regulators have a longer shaft on the 72's, if you put 71 door panels on, your handle will stick out about a 1/2" more unless you change out your regulators.
