69 Grille on a 71?
Pardon my ignorance (new here from the world of Jeeps and Offroading), but can you fit a 69 grille on the front end of a 71?
Thanks, -Jason |
Re: 69 Grille on a 71?
Yep, use the grille surround and the stock (or billet from LMC) insert to complete the look. Usually, it goes the other way around.....'71-72 on '69-70 body.

Really? Maybe I have it twisted then. This is the 69 front end, correct? (not my truck)

Re: 69 Grille on a 71?
yep. Only difference in the '69 and the '70 is in the egg-crate plastic that fits behind the metal.

I like the 69 70 grills better than the 71/72

Re: 69 Grille on a 71?
Yeah me too. Just trying to decide if I wanna drop the coin on a re popped 69 or just put a billet insert in the one I have.

Yes, but the center grille support and hood latch are different. Don't think they are interchangeable but don't know for sure.

Unbolt the inner and outer and put the inner and outer from the 69 in.Simple bolt in,but you have to change the center support, dont know about the latch. Also keep in mind the front bumper differs,as do the bumper brackets, and you will have to run the turn signals different.
