firstgen sheetmetal interchanges

Hey gang...
i see front floor patch panels for pickups, but none that are blazer/jimmy specific, are the front portions interchangeable (i assume they are)?
I also see radiator supports listed for blazers, but not for the jimmy... will i knead to modify the heck out of a blazer one to work with a jimmy?
and lastly, my rear floor section is pretty (merle) haggard, these are readilly available for 73 and newer rigs... has anyone modified one to work with a 72and prior?..

thanks!

I bought my floorboards from Good mark, been awhile but I'm pretty sure you can use pick ups. If I'm wrong, someone will chime in.

Rad. support is only different because of the double headlites, you can undo the spotwelds and swap around.

As far as the bed goes, this might case you problems as nothing is made yet to really do a proper job. Things are always changing so maybe by time you need one they will be remade. A couple months ago, I saw a really nice used bed for sale in our 'classified section' it was in New Jersey and it was green, don't recall if it was sold or not, but used mite be the best way to go

Since you doing the floors, you mite want to consider the one pc. floors that are now being sold for pick ups. I had to buy a bunch of patch panels to fix my floors, but it mite be easier to modify a truck floorboard... don't know your call

I have both right and left., front floor pans from LMC for my blazer. I haven't welded them in yet but they look the same and measure up about the same.

look into the whole floor section though trying to patch together 4 floor sections (front and rear left and right) would be retarded if not absolutely necessary. way to much fit up.

good luck

post pics of your progress

For the rad support just order one from a 69-72 GMC that they have listed, they dont differ from model to model,2wd to 4wd.

Check the board vendors list linked in my signature. Lots of mixed feelings about LMC even though you can't beat their catalog for reference material.

How soon do you need the radiator support? I have a rust free one coming that I am going tp powdercoat this winter/spring. When I swap it for mine next spring/summer I would sell you mine which so far looks pretty rust free also. I am just south of Boston. If you ever need a hand PM me.

Mark
