Re: supra tailights

God I hope not..Just curious,Why put ricer taillights on a 67-72? The stock ones look good on there,IMO.

Re: supra tailights

Dunno, mine are stock (go figure), but lots of guys customize their trucks... What difference does it make where the parts come from as long as they look good?

Re: supra tailights

Its the same as the guy at autozone handing me a jap gascap for an AMERICAN MADE TRUCK. I wanted to smack his mom and punch his dad.

Re: supra tailights

they wouldnt be narrow enough to fit on the sides vertically so where would you put them, in the rollpan? thats worse than the corvette lights in the rollpan

Re: supra tailights

Go easy on the guy,
Who knows they might look OK, and besides
To each his own
As for me, never would this be my choice.
That just seems wrong to put Jap components on a good ol america steel

:agree: Stop hating until you see it, it may look cool as heck and you'll be the next ones on the bandwagon. Besides, most of the import company's have factories in the States now so technically it could be made in the USA. JMHO

Re: supra tailights

I say get some Supra tail lights, try it out and then we'll know. :) Not much is made in America anymore anyway...

Re: supra tailights

I bet we'd be surprised to learn how many parts on a new Chevy (or any other domestic brand) are imported... and how many parts for any foreign brand are made in the USA. In today's global economy, parts come from virtually all over the world.

Re: supra tailights

:agree: ...
The only way to see if one can improve the "Good Looks" of our trucks is to put into actions one creative ideas. :metal: I use to only like Blue trucks...but with my old age I now like Green trucks...and Black trucks....and Red trucks....and Orange trucks...and White trucks...and Yellow trucks...and so forth! As longs as the colors are on the 67-72 Chevy/GMC trucks. :agree: 1great68has an idea so when he installs the supra lights he may find they are not so supra? Then again maybe 1great68 will like the supra lights. I say go for it. And then send us pics!

Re: supra tailights

I'm not hating the idea, its just that ive seen trucks with them in the rollpan and they just dont look right. ive seen them in mini trucks, and in a full size truck, i just couldnt imagine it.

Re: supra tailights

althought they could fit pretty good, its just the reverse light would be on top to fit any kind of contour on the truck if you smoothed everything in the rear and didnt have a functional tailgate

Re: supra tailights

Ive seen them in the 89 and up trucks they didnt look to bad in them. I think they may be a little to wide to work with the 67 to 72 trucks.
