quarter panel help in wa

I got my 70 blazer home and started chipping the little bondo that I knew was in the passenger side rear quarter only to find the little bit I thought was there kept getting deeper and deeper. It wound up being about a half inch think and when I got it all off discovered that someone had drilled lots of holes for a slide hammer and messed it up even more. Dont think I can fix it. Does anyone have a good one they want to part with or know what it takes and how much material to cut off a swb bedside for a truck to make it fit? Any help is very appreciated.

First, welcome to the board from Seattle. Post some pics of your truck when you get a chance. We all like to see pics of Blazers, no matter what stage they are in.

Check with Frank (board member PICKMUP) or Wes at Classicheartbeat.com. Both are in the Olympia area and may have some repair panels.

2nd, be cautious about posting a wanted to buy thread without being a subscribing member.

The mods will lock it up.

Check out some of the vendors to see if they might sell a patch panel that will take care or it.
Might be the easiest way to go.

Patch panel is the easiest way to go, I have one on both sides of my Jimmy and they are not that hard to put in. Are saying the area by the door or by the bumper?? Can you weld? J.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ill get some pics up when I get a chance. The patch panels would work if I could find enough to cover the whole side. I have a long box that is less than perfect but can cut it up to make some of what I may need, just didnt want to get into making a quilt to have it work if i didnt have to.

vintagechevy76: Welcome to the board and :agree:, should you decide to support the board and go Blue feel free to drop me a pm. I am in the PorTland, OR. area only a short drive from Castle Rock, I could probably help you out with a complete (door to taillight) blazer bedside. Cb :bowtie:
