NP205 slip yoke eliminator

I want to put a slip yoke eliminator on my truck I have a NP205 now. can I just take the 205 out of 3/4 ton 78 GMC and use the tailshaft and all the other stuff associated with It? Tearing apart a case isn't a problem for me I've done it once. So any help would be appreciated.

I believe you can. I haven't done it yet but have 4 205's on my bench right now an plane on building 3 good case out of them. One has the slip yoke that I plan on converting to a fixed yoke.

Yea you can. The back output's are universial. It's the front input that has 4 differnet styles w/ corsponding bearings.
