Almost stalls

Hey I would like your opinion on this, a lot of the time when I push the gas pedal too quick my truck shudders and almost stalls, do you think it is because I am running too rich?

Sounds like a bad accelerator pump . If you gradually accelerate , the carb has time to react and transfer from the idle circuit to the off idle passages . If you accelerate quickly , it needs the shot of fuel from the accelerator pump to keep it from leaning out . Frank

Why do you have these problems with a sweet lookin truck like that? (Assuming the one in your avatar is yours)

What F.Monroe said is right. Also a vacum leak can cause that issue. Carb to intake gasket perhaps?
I bought a cheap gasket at autozone and it just didn't seal.

Spray that intake down. If you dont find any leaks, then I would look into adjustments or a rebuild of the carb depending on it's age,

Ya thats my truck and I dont know why its doing this to me, just being a pain I guess. I have sprayed the carb down before and did not find any leaks, but I will try again.

You can try taking it out and flex the rubber edges up to recondition them. If that works, you know what the problem is. (Doug Roe's tip from his Roch carb bible.) Accel pumps are in every rebuild kit- $20-$50.

I don't know why any shop wouldn't carry or be able to order one. I go to my local non-affiliated (Penn Auto Parts) and they have it in 2 hours.
