Burb Rear Doors
2 Attachment(s)
Question are the burb doors inter-changable with out any modifications?

Re: Burb Rear Doors
I believe the bolt holes are there for either set up.

Re: Burb Rear Doors
As you can see in those pics the gate/hatch hinge points are not on the burb with doors, BUT you should be able to put the doors on a gate/hatch burb as the hinge holes will be there.
So you can go from gate/hatch to doors but not doors to gate/hatch. |
Re: Burb Rear Doors
And that's the way I would like ot go. doors to gate

Re: Burb Rear Doors
I hope you have a nice gate and hatch cause they are super hard to find in decent shape.

Re: Burb Rear Doors
I like what Wes has done with his pannle barn dors on the bottom with hatch on top best of both worlds. Im a barn door fan but it would be nice to have the big back window.

Re: Burb Rear Doors
yes upper hatch's are hard to find in desent shape i payed $300.00 for just the hatch(fortunatly my gate was still good gate and hatch are better just an opinion

Re: Burb Rear Doors
When changing from barn doors to a lift gate setup you also need to change the rear valance panel also..........................because you have to have the indentations for the hinges to sit into.................go back and compare pictures and you'll see what i'm talking about..................the same is true when changing them on a 60-66 burb................HEMMIT

Re: Burb Rear Doors
And, is the iron inside that the gate hinges bolt to on an original door truck?? I dunno???
|
Re: Burb Rear Doors
The threaded bolt plate for the gate is not underneath the skin on a barn set up-you would have to weld it in.
|
Re: Burb Rear Doors
awww I want the barn doors... I want do do the barn bottom hatch top
|
Re: Burb Rear Doors
If you have gates you can easily switch to doors. All the door hinge privisions are there. It's switching from doors to gates that takes some cutting/welding.
That's my understanding, and is true for my gated burb. |
