WTB: Air Cleaner Lid
 

I need an air cleaner lid for my 1986 Chevy truck with 305 and 4 bbl Quadrajet. PO threw away the one that came on it and replaced with some aluminum piece of junk. I've got the bottom, just need the lid and its the "deep lid" The one that covers the deep air filter (about 4/5 inch filter). If anybody has one, please let me know and how much you want. Thanks.

I have one, but unfortunetly I leave on company business for the next 2 weeks. I do get to georgia often also,so if you cant find one I will check the thread whe I get back.

I think I can help ya out.

Let me take a look when I get home & snap a pic so you're sure it's what you want.

I think it is provided there's no difference between one that came on a 350 vs. a 305.

No idea on a price, what would make you happy?

$25 for just the lid? I ain't tryin' to retire early here.:lol:

How would $20 + the ride for the lid & base together be?
(pending the condition it's in, may have some surface rust by now)

I have no use for the base without the lid, only thing is, I don't think I have the oval shaped air intake hose thing, but I might, I'll check. I didn't get a chance to get the pics last night. We got our first snow/rain/sleet storm:barf: and I didn't feel like going out and digging through my parts pile. I'll try to get a pic tonight and post it tomorrow.

Well, ok...but I thought I'd still post for your enjoyment.:)

So, I carried the housing up from the parts pile & set it on the railing. Proceeded to bend over right there by it to get dog food out of the can.....and noticed movement about 6" away from the side of my head.....I screamed like a little girl.:o:lol:

Got me a little buddy, but I don't think he was too happy about the sudden eviction notice.:lol:
