Painting the 54
 

I am now three weeks into the painting process on my 54. The first two weeks were final prep and that was after all I had done at my place. A friends is letting me use his paint booth to lay the color and it certainly helps.

Hey Houston...with all the experience you now have I will bring mine over in the next week or so for you to start cause I know how much you love body work...lol. Actually I meant to say...Looking great and can't wait to see it finished.

Wow! nice looking truck. For a second, I couldn't tell if it was bare metal or paint. Looks great.

Sweet looking truck. Nice to see another '54. Keep up the good work. BTW, what it is that rear bumper from? Just curious. Daniel U

Thanks for the feedback. I am happy with it so far but there are a few gotchas that I have fix. One is where I stuck my rear on to tacky clear on the cab when I was trying to clear another piece.

The rear bumper is from a 1992 vintage S-10. I found it at a swap meet for $5.00. Some from another site have criticized its appearance but I think it fits the truck well.

great work, glad to see you making progress since we were down. was glad to be able to meet up with you. keep the updates coming....looking good
