Alternator Bracket?

Is there an alternative way to mount the alternator on a 350? I have that curved metal piece of strap stuff. Something is out of whack (what is a whack, anyway?) and I think it's causing stress on the alternator. It sounds wrong, and it wobbles a bit.
Is there another brace?
Pulleys out of...you know.
Thanks

I use a long water pump and all the long water pump accesories that go along with it. Makes finding accesories, brackets and pulleys a whole lot simpler.

DR...if you use headers, and have an aftermarket intake..and use a short water pump, can you still use stock brkts?

Big Jim, yas, it will work with your aformentioned add ons. I had my old CST/20 Longhorn set up like that. It all bolts up to the head.

Yes the short pump stuff works IF you have the later bolt holes in the heads.thats where the alt brackets mount, headers and aluminum intakes dont interfere. Thanks
