I have come across another suburban. 1971 with all items mentioned above including a/c, some kind of cruse control, heavy duty rear springs, along with almost brand new 31's up front and 33's in the back, Strange option dual tanks where the second tank is fed by the first?

Barn doors, rear air, and I dont remember if it had anything else special.

Issues: not run in Close to a year, Eddlebrock carb in place of origional, a/c box has been fiberglassed back together and at most likely not working. Leaks PS fluid as well as tranny fluid.

Rust at toe boards, slight rust on both rockers, both rear quartes below belt line needs to be replaced.

She is not rusty just has rust.

Ball parking it, not knowing if it will start/ run w/out bringing a battery with me, what would the Value be?

The photos are terrible as they are from a phone.

Thanks,

I would give about 1500 if I thought it could run. Big difference in a running driving truck and one that might run/drive. I paid 3500 for mine, but it ran really good with a newer motor and 4x4.

Pretty much where I am at with it. Went back today and took a better camera(slightly better). Will post more pics later.

More rust in tail light assembly, on all doors too. So as a driver it would be a good vehicle but to fix before paint there is going to be repair on evey panel.

Going to wait a day or two then contact him again, dont want to seem too excited. Besides it would not be a bad thing to pass it along to someone else.

With that type of rear A/C it might actually be a 72. Did it have A/C vents in the dash?

Zeusflash has a point, what type of door panels did it have in addition to AC vents?

Some of the shine has worn off and as I look at the photos I am not as jonesed about it. But I'll give it a few days and touch base with him then.

Looks like a 72 from the air, and a highlander from the seat, door panels and tilt. Too bad the front seat plaid is gone. I'd say $2500 easy.

Well it looks like I cant even make an offer now. My wife's Daily Driver is acting up and the extra cash is going to have to go to fixing it.

THis truck is avaliable on CL here in Austin. He has it advertised as a 72 guess I dont know where my 71 thoughts came from.

Good luck.

I would use caution. If he doesnt know the year, he probably doesnt know if it runs. Keep in mind that he wants to sell it.
