Wanted stepside bed- will buy or trade my short fleet- Texas area
 

I want a step bed for my truck. I have a short fleet bed on it now. Will trade beds or buy the step bed outright. Need to be reasonable distance from DFW Texas area.

My bed isn't that great for a Texas bed. I'd rate it a 5 on 1-10 scale.

I have one that I would really like to trade. I will take some pictures and post tomorrow asap. I have to take my wife to to doctors appointments, in the morning, will take the pictures when we return. I took the bed off of a 69 GMC, which I purchased for the frame.

After a closer look at my bed, I found the driver side fender is heavily filled, and my son cut two braces that were rusted badly when he removed the bed.

I have the one off of my truck that is disassembled for paint. Let me know. I would like a fleet side as I have already had a stepside. It is complete with all crossmembers, but no wood or slats. I would give it a 9/10 for rust, with only a little on the inside edge of one of the fenders where the lip bolts to the step. It has a brand new front head board and poly trunnions, and awesome talgate that came off a show truck that the guy went back with a smooth custom jobber. Let me know, I'm in Houston.

I really hate to do this, but I need to withdrawmy name in the hat. As much as I would love a fleet, my wife saw this and insisted that I keep the truck a stepper. For some reason she really loves stepsides and she wants me to follow through with my idea of using a stepper for my build. Seems like this would be a great deal for someone!!

Here is a link to pictures of my stuff. There is rust on it and general ugliness. It's a 5 on 1-10 scale. I'd like to trade it for a step bed of equal condition. I need a sound bed floor, as I use my truck to haul lots of stuff. I don't really care whether solid plywood or whatever as long as it's solid enough to use.

Also, I'd prefer to trade bumpers too. I want a bumper intended for stepside beds.

Here is on off my 72, was going to use on my 4x4, but I prefer a fleet. wood on bed had a 1/4 metal plate over it for years. Had spare tire indention on left fender, but traded for non spare tire. Nice straight bed in original condition.Attachment 310083
