My new toy !!!
Let me start off by saying that I am totally stoked about this car
Yes, it may not be a truck but I think you can understand why  I really am not a car person, but there are a few that I really like & this is one of them !!! it's a long story, but I have been after this particular car for about 3-5 years !!! & today my dream came true !!! :metal::metal::metal: It's a 69 Camaro Z/28 ;):metal: I'm still working with the owners daughter to try & find some of the missing parts It's missing: drivers side head, intake, carb, valve covers, trans, & drive shaft (that I know of) It's a little rough, but I love it !!!:hm: |
Re: My new toy !!!

Re: My new toy !!!
Looks good to me !!! You don't find them like that in Iowa!!! It would be rotted in a pile and not worth saving !! That thing is *****in!!!!!! You will have to wait for burnout pics form me !!! I think I have a rod about to let go :( The fuel pump went to sh** and filled the motor with gas . drained it and oiled the motor and it has a knock :( I'm gonna tear it down soon and I will keep you posted !!! Didn't mean to steal your buzz of the new car just thought i would let you know !!! *****in' car man !!!:metal:

Re: My new toy !!!
Nice Gen 1 camaro!!
|
Re: My new toy !!!
I concur, thank you for saving such a primo piece of American muscle. maybe one of my all time favs! doesn't look too ate up with rust either. looks like a black plated Cali Camaro to boot. also looks like power brakes, probably disc and optional rear bumper guards. If that's an original green exterior, well let's just say I really will hate you!!!! lol
you my friend are a lucky person. you need to go play the lottery this weekend!!! |
Re: My new toy !!!
Congrats on a great find. Is that the original 302 that's broke? I would be trying to save it too if it would make it a #'s matching car. Lucky dog!!!

Restore with a nostalgic twist :metal: Quote:
So it's a Cali car, but has been in Texas most of it's life Quote:
All Z/28's had power discs in the front, as well as the bumper guards (just bigger on the Z/28's) It has a perfect trunk & the floors are pretty good, the only bad rust is around the front & rear glass Quote:
I shall be giving it my best shot to save the engine & find the missing parts: drivers side head, intake, carb, valve covers, trans, & driveshaft :whine: But if not, it'll be a fun car even not numbers matching |
Re: My new toy !!!
I can think of one way i'd like to see that car built
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b...07/Orange2.jpg like mine -- LOL |

Don't tub that car. That Z looks to be in great shape for sitting in the open all these years. Great find, and by the way sorry, "Little Camaro Buddy" just don't fit you. Keep us posted on this build.

Re: My new toy !!!
I think it would be cool to stick another small block in it for now and drive it as it sits untill you fix the 302.
