differences in trim levels
 

Recently i purchased a truck which is labelled on the dash trip and the fenders as a scottsdale
looking at the truck it has the cheap interior door panels and no power windows or locks. It does have air conditioning and the kick panels are only covering half the kick panels . In addition there is no interior trim around the windows and the ceiling.. in fact the cab is kinda bare so it looks like a custom deluxe.
I dont have any of the dealer brochures so i was wondering if some of you all could post pics of the interiors of your trucks and the trim levels you are at.
I want to restore my truck, but keeping within stock guidelines although upgrading to the fancier stuff

somebody correct me if im wrong,

but i thought the scottsdale trim package replaced the cheyenne package in '81 and as such, would be a step down from the silverado, and kindaa bare bones

well basically the scottsdale is just one step up from a C/D. it was still bare bones. Had a little black insert in the door panels instead of plastic color and an upgraded seat and some wheel lip moldings. the PW & PDL tilt etc were options on all trim levels. you could even get a cloth seat in C/D (although not same as silverado)or Carpet delete in a silverado. Only the silverado had the full headliner and kick panels and door carpets.

81 was the last year for the Cheyenne and the ONE that i had was decked out like a silverado. ,But i've said it a million times(maybe less?) that 81's are a breed of there own in many regards.

so being my truck which is badged scottsdale has been added to cause it has the silver trim on the dash pad ( as it came from the P/O not the one you sold me Dave)
So i guess im going to go for the silverado look then if i put all the trim in on the interior

My '85 Scottsdale was bare bones for the most part, just like you described. Rubber floor, no headliner, single headlights, wheel lip trim, no power anything except brakes and steering. Door panels were basic, no cloth or door pulls. Only options were air, tilt wheel, and AM/FM stereo radio. Seat was cloth. No cruise, no speakers beyond the dash, no intermittent wipers, etc. Had gauges for Oil, Temp, and Batt, no clock...it was a block-off...just a speedo and fuel level front and center. Dash plastic had silver trim, with the "Scottsdale" logo to the right above the glove box. Crossy is correct in what he says.

and one of my Scottsdales, an 85 SWB was completely loaded.

my scottsdale has the full gauges and originally had cruise, carpet tweed seat, no pl, no pw...
but one of the main features of atleast most of the scottsdales is the heavy duty springs and shocks from some of my research

now mine has heavy suspension there are like 8 leafs on the back and the coils, rusted but seem to be heavy duty. ive got air condition,vynal bench seat,automatictrans, radio,rubber floor and cheapo door panels like the custom deluxe. I also have rallye wheels
