exhaust clearance, 5/7 drop?
1 Attachment(s)
i think i screwed myself over by getting long/full tube headers.... can i still slam 5/7 drop with these headers or will i have to buy new headers before i even slam?
you cant really see it in the pic....but the headers do sitcloser to the ground, then the frame...is theer any way for my to check if it will have enough clearance to slam?...im thinking just take a tape measure and see if the headers will be in the ground if i drop 5 inches.... any suggestions? plus, i still have big alterain tires , so that might also be a problem? untill i get my permentant tires.. |
Re: exhaust clearance, 5/7 drop?
the lowest part of the exhaust is about 9 inches above the ground.. so, after the drop it would be about 4 inches above the ground....is that to low to drive?

I have air on mine and it is about 2" from hitting with all the air out of the bags. Here is a pic with all the air out and you can see the headers..

Re: exhaust clearance, 5/7 drop?
I roll my truck with +/- 4" of clearance at the lowest part of the exhaust every day, anytime I scrape its usually the lower control arm when going over a bump, I havent had the exhaust hit YET...
