Brake Proportioning Valve?

Is this a stock or aftermarket item? I put 6" on my truck, will that affect this contraption? Should I get rid of it? It is attached to the rear pumpkin on the bottom, has a connecting rod with 2 pivot points, and inline with the rear brakes. |
Re: Brake Proportioning Valve?
It is factory. that is typical of 3/4T up trucks. When load is applied the lever changes the valving to the brakes for added stoping power.
Putting a lift will make it non-operational, you can remove it. |
Re: Brake Proportioning Valve?
Hello,
If you do remove it, do you want to part with it? I am building a K30 project and was considering one. Thanks, Joe S. |
