Need wiring diagram for 72 GMC
 

Just as the title says I am needing a wiring diagram for my truck i seen one here on the forum was a good one a 2demntinal one but I cannot seem to find it please help.

yes pretty much i have wires that are bare under hood that go in cab and i need to see what they hook to

They are the same as what Justin (boundstaffpress) has but I was tired of switching between the pics so I put them on the same page and left the size the same so it wouldn't compress it. You can zoom in and out and go from the front of the truck to the back and stay on the same page.

yeah i saw that i liked that but this diagram unfortunantly didnt help much at all i have wires that aint there and there is wires there that i aint got so and i aint lookin at the coil ither so thanks for the help and the print out

my apologies, i stopped reading the replies at #5 or 6 on this page.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than: Please tell us what color the wires are and maybe someone can tell you what they do.

Also, if you can identify where they come through the firewall (at the bulkhead? top or bottom of the bulkhead? or somewhere else?), that would help.

Sorry for delayed response step father had to be hospitalize due to his high bp if i feel better morrow then i will get out there and see what I can do here is a couple pics of the mess i have may not help but here they are

You want my suggestion?

Ditch all that crap. Buy a new harness at the firewall. Board member Musclerodz sells them at his site: http://www.musclerodz.com/

His name is Mike Redpath. You can call him at 405.735.8405 - I am sure he can help you get a new harness to cover everything from the bulkhead at the firewall and out.

My only reason for saying this is simple: The previous owner of your truck spaghetti'd the hell out of it. That truck looks like an electrical fire waiting to happen, and $50-$100 for a new harness from the firewall out is a small price to pay for safety.
