What are K5's selling for right now?

I am thinking I should get rid of my K5. It sits, sits and sits. It doesn't help that I don't have a job, in an economy that jobs are evaporating fast. I am in the Sacramento area.

Facts
'72 K5 CST
350/350/205
D60F, H052 rear, 4.56/4.57 gears, powerlock in the front, No-spin in the rear
Re-upholstered seats, carpet kit. Recent (better shape) double wall hardtop swap
Engine runs OK
Trans shifts good
Tcase has a rattle
Body has seen better days, not a show candidate, but good for a hunting rig
Cancer in the usual places
Currently a spider web and dirt collection science project.
Havent moved it more than 50 feet in over a year.
16x35x16.5 swampers (half tread) are starting to weather crack. Currently off the rig, and under a tarp.
Currently on 235/85/16's on 10" wide rims. :((

in most cases it depends on the body and if the window frame and rocker boxes are not rusted out. you may be better off selling the 1ton axles to some one and puting 1/2 axles under it to sell the blazer with.

Since you are in the suburban forum and asking a blazer question I will move this to the Blazer forum for you.

I'd guess, based on the photos & the description, your truck is probably in the $3,000 - $5,000 range. Location and timing have a lot to do with prices too. These trucks tend to sell more in the spring and summer (for obvious reasons). California is a little less dependent on the weather, but there are a fair amount of survivors between you and San Diego. Make sure it is running right and you'll get more too.

Those rims sound kinda wide for the 235/85's.

Finish it up and get it as complete as possible, that will make a difference on how fast it sells.

Just judging from the pics, maybe it is together already but either way, make it drive-able with all the knobs, gauges, etc intact and working and it will sell easier.

Seats look good.

start at 5K and see what happens, good luck.

I agree with taking out the 1 tons. Trucks that are unmolested are more appealing to me. When I see trucks that have a ton of bolt ons and modifications I tend to stay away. Just my two cents.

:agree: I'd rather buy something more stock than modified. I've seen some pretty sketchy modifications in the past so it makes me wonder what is hidden.
