5 Attachment(s)
Ok what is this truck worth? '66 SWB Stepper, California truck, surface rust only, really nice body, original owner, still in the town where it was bought new. Runs and drives, 6cyl. 3 spd.
Thanks! Tim |
Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
That's a super clean truck! I'm not good at putting a value on these things, but I'm amazed to see no rust on that thing! Around here all these trucks have rusted fender tips, rockers etc.... That one, none!! Wow!!

Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
Wow, thats a solid truck!! I would say $1500 to $2000.
|
Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $1500.00
|
Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
I would have to knock at least $250 off asking price from where the tailgate chains have rubbed off the paint. So 1250 is getting closer to better. That truck restored or custom would be SWEETer than it already is.

Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
My self i would give 3000.00 being from MO. it hard to find a rust free truck.
|
Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
What MO trucks have rust? My 67 only has a little rust. It's on the edges of what's left.

Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
jchav, yeah the thing is really nice, I am hip to the crazy rust problems on the 67-72 trucks, so I looked this thing over very well, and it really is 99% rust free. DavesRide, I was pretty bent about the tailgate chains, whatever happened to those old guys who put a piece of garden hose on them?? HAHAHA!! Thanks for the input guys, have a great night!

Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
p.s. I have never been into steppers, if it was a Fleetside it would already be in my driveway!!
Thanks again guys, later. |
Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
because of that history you gave, MAX $2,200. I would feel real good about walking away w/ that truck at $1000-1200. Are you gonna buy it?

Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
Hey 3speed..
Yeah I am probably gonna end up with it, and either turn it and keep looking for a Fleetside, or look for a nice bed. Tim |
Re: WIW... '66 SWB Stepside
Hey '65 4x4 you hit the nail on the head...my friend put this truck up for $3000, got 11 calls in 2 hours, and sold it for $2900 to the first guy who showed up!
