I thought I had one in the garage but it is an 80. I can't remember where it is. I was thinking it was at the bottom at 6...

I had one in my 78 Silverado. I believe the shaft was near the top but it's been a couple of years since I've seen it.

The clock worked intermittently for a long time, but when it did work it didn't keep time at all. Eventually it just died.

On the early ones, it's at 12:00.

Here's a pic from Ebay:

Later on, (80?) they moved it to like 7:00.

alrighty then, i just couldn't believe that the factory drilled a hole in the #12 to put the rod through.
I just bought one. just need to know the most accurate way of getting the hole right in the clear lens now. anyone want to make me a craft paper template from their original??? :-)
thanx fellas.

It is 12. Here's a couple pics of my 78 dash from a lens swap writeup I did last year.

Here you go, factory clock on the bottom left. It still ticks but the adjuster rod won't adjust it anymore, need to pull it and hook it back up. 1978...
