5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

Complete 5 lug disc brake crossmember from '71 2wd pickup. Hub to hub with coils, upper and lower a-arms, calipers, spindles, dust sheilds. $125 or offers? Must be picked up, 30 miles south of Wichita, Ks. Will break down to just the spindles, dust sheilds, calipers and ship on your cost. Need this gone but hate to scrap it.

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

What kind of shape are the brake parts in? Are the rotors and caliper original?

Thanks

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

The truck was running when it was trashed in a roll over, not a straight piece of sheet metal on it when I aquired it. Brakes were still operating at the time. As far as I know the caliper brackets are stock original, not sure about the rotors. They may clean up with a turning but I can't say for sure. Been setting for awhile outside. At the least if I were using this for a disc brake conversion I would replace the rotors and pads.

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

how much for front spindles rotors and calipers shipped to 66414?

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

Not sure what shipping to 66414 zip would amount to. Will have to do some figuring on that, not sure what the weights involved would be. Would really like to sell as complete crossmember for disc conversion but will try and get you some sort of a realistic shipping quote for following parts:

spindles, dust shields, caliper brackets and bolts, and rotors if you want them. Anything else you may want for a conversion? Do you want the upper and lower A-arms?

Might want to replace the rotors as I am not sure how well they will turn within tolerance.

Give me some time to try and calculate the shipping weights and costs and I will get back to you.

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

i shouldnt need the a arms i should be able to use mine. just the spindles rotors calipers/bolts, and dust shields u might see how much weight is saved without the rotors. if gas wasnt well over 3 bucks a gallon id just make a drive to come on down but gas prices are killer!

I will be down in Wichita the first week of December or so to drop the wife at the airport. If the assembly is still together, I would be interested. Let me know.
Thanks

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

Since the crossmember is still unspoken for am hoping this post gives needed info for everyone.

andrewt2, Sorry to take so long but it took a bit of time to get shipping weights and a shipping quote. Total weight of each disc brake setup per side is 65 lbs. boxed. That is the rotor, spindle, caliper, dust sheild and all related hardware and bolts for the flex lines and such. After looking at the rotors and spinning them I think they would turn just fine. The pads on the discs rubbed the surface enough that I can not see any deep pits or such. One rotor needs a stud but that's no big deal to replace. UPS shipping to Topeka 66614 zip code residential for two boxes at 65 lbs. each is $21.50 per box for shipping total of $43.00. Add in the $125 for the disc brake parts setup totals $168.00 to your door.

ksucatz, Disc brake crossmember is still complete as did not have to break it down to get the weights needed for shipping quote. Depending on what day and time you bring your wife to Wichita for flight I can help by bringing the crossmember to Wichita in my truck since I work in Wichita and live in Wellington.

How much for the disc brakes to 90807 (Long Beach, Ca.)?

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

hureo, According to the UPS website shipping to Long Beach, Cal. 90807 residential address is $91.00. Four days shipping time. Little further to Cal. than Topeka, Ks. LOL That is for both sides weighing in at 65 libs. per side, two boxes total cost to your door $216.00

andrewt2, No problem for the time spent. No one has spoken up and said for sure "I'll take it" so it may well still be here when payday rolls around again. :)

Do you still have this for sale? If so, I would be interested in the upper and lower control arms and spindles. I figure to buy new rotors and calipers etc.
Thanks.

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

Still have the complete crossmember all in one piece at the moment. Will get a shipping quote for you soon as possible for the upper and lower a-arms, disc brake spindles, backing plates (dust shields) and the calipers (with the bolts) if you want them for the cores. Might be cheaper to you using these calipers for cores if you have to pay core charges.

Cross member still available, complete 5 lug disc brakes, $125. Would be best for local pick up as shipping prices make it tough.

Re: 5 Lug Disc Brake F/S-Ks.

Well, I was down last week, but with the weather, I figured I better wait. Don't know when I will get that way again. After the first probably. If you are not in a hurry, I will look then.

Thanks
Brent

Brent, no problem at all. Crossmember is still complete and hasn't budged an inch. Have to agree with ya', was kind of a crappy weekend. Perhaps we can get together on it after the holidays. :chevy:
