Who all has had chroming done?
So who all has had their original painted grill chromed? Is it worth it or is it more economical to buy a chrome reproduction? It looks to me like you can get 55-56 grills pretty reasonalbly, but the one year only 57s that I've seen are quite a bit more. And I'm curious about the quality.
I've never had anything chromed before, so I'm not sure how much it runs on average. I'll have to have my fender emblems redone regardless since no one seems to be repoping 3200 pieces. How much work would the chromer expect on my part? Stripping, knocking out dents, etc? What are we talking here. |

Chrome is very hard to get a quote on......
I had my front bumper, grill and headlight surrounds done in Edmonton AB in 2003 for $800. Four years later and it still looks great. |

I'm always a fan of chrome plating OEM metal over buying new re-pops.

I go to Advanced Plating in Nashville, they are expensive but man are they good!
