Re: Blazer rear seat question

does your rear seat have four bracket in the back or 2. There were two different versions. Mine has two and the two center holes in the bed accept seat belt bolts. The outside two bolt the bracket to the bed.

I'm going by memory here because it is dark and cold outside. I believe the front is a 5/8 head with course thread. It's about 1 inch long. The back is 13/16 course thread, both the seat belt bolt (which have an extra long unthreaded portion to the shaft so the belts can swivel on them) and the other bolts too. They are about 1.25 - 1.5 inches long.

If you can wait til the weekend, I might have time to pull one of each and measure, but hopefully someone else already has theirs out to measure.

Bouncy is defiantly right on the head sizes, I had to break off 2 of those 13/16 head bolts with a 1/2" ratchet (short). SOB my arms were sore that night. I was so concerned with getting the 2 front hold downs I forgot the 2 good bolts in the back:o, mine had the rear 4 legs. The front bolts were nothing special but the rear were with the longer un-threaded parts of the top of the shafts as bouncy described. Oh my seat belts are bolted to the seats but still had those special bolts.

Keep an eye out on the parts, board. There are about 1000 of us hungry wolves wanting to get one of our own, so join the hunt. I see them on EBay from time to time, but they are usually restored and big bucks.

Get a radio delete and hide a CD player in the glove box or console.

info@originalcarradios.comm has AM for about 200.00, AM/FM450.00 to700.00. It's listed as car radios, don't know if they are different from trucks. Refurbished and 90 day warranty. I'm starting to drop hints to Mrs. Claus:lol:

ORIGINALCARRADIOS.COM has an original 1972 truck AM/FM for $650 plus shipping, and two van AM/FM radios for $525-$550. You can do better on E-Bay, or through this sit, but they don't come along too often...
