it is time to detail the engine. That is silver duct tape on the headders so I did scratch the bajeebers out of them when putting them in for a test fit. Now I get to pull it all apart again.. Oh the joys of building..

Curious - looks like you used the rear 2 holes on the frame - have you had any clearance issues with dist. cap at firewall? HEI or points?
Also, looks like your frame may have been trimmed a little at the motor mounts - has it? I ask because I'll be tackling this same install later this winter.

You need to look at this thread. I had to cut the firewall to get the engine to sit back farther. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=259536 .. It is an 89 year model bb and has the small HEI distributor. There would be plenty of room for an HEI back there though, it just looks worse in the pictures.. Yes I did trim the frame where the mounts are. That is what the 67-72's are like.

I used those same engine mounts. I used the stock manifolds instead of headers. I did not have any clearance problems with the hei.

Wow! For a big block, I see more ease at getting to those plugs and header bolts then I have on my small block. Looking good.
