Here's some progress pics of my 83 Silverado... Replaced a fender and the hood, installed a roll pan, replaced front and back glass, the front bumper and tail light lenses and I've been driving it!!!:metal: A new grille and headlight bezels are on their way... Next I want to put it in primer so it's all one color and lower it... I also have a set of 17" TorqThrust II's to bolt on... She's a blast!!

I like it there is something about these square body short wides that just makes me want to build one. That will be quite a few years though. I'm going to help my body man pick up his side project this weekend. Its an 89 short bed regular cab plain jane with some rot nothing major. He is going to drop it put in a roll pan, fix the rot, and drop it, paint it Lamborghini orange.

I can't believe how cheap the parts are for these trucks. Especially here at our local junk yard. I love it! My future plans are to fix up the inside, re-do the seat and the carpet, put in a new dash and paint the truck either metallic gray or orange once I get the body cherry... not sure yet...

Who has the best deals on a Shackle/hanger rear drop kit? (4") I wanna go with a 2/4 drop soon ... 4/6's are bada$$, but the roads around here are a little too rough for that...

I can relate to driving an ugly truck, it just takes time, they are all diamonds in the rough. My truck had the nick name The Ugly Truckling, now she's a beautiful swan.

that is very close to what mine looked like starting out... minus the red door and I never did have a tailgate. keep up the good work and don't get discouraged if you have a setback or two

Trust me, I know about set backs. Especially with this truck! Matter of fact, this weekend at the shop we were calling it "Project Temper Tantrum" cuz of all the times I've blown up working on it.:banghead::banghead::cuss::censored:

Things are going smooth though lately... All the "hard" stuff is done, now it's all pretty work...
