Lifting A longbed 2wd

Hey guys and gals I was wondering If anybody has lifted a 2wd around 3inches or more ?
I was looking at aim industries lift front springs and a 3inch shackle flip in the rear .
So I can stuff some 33's under it

DO NOT BUY FROM AIM!!!!!!!
They make crappy products, are horrible about returns even if its their mistake, and I have seen 2 of their control arms fail(aibag mounting plate broke off on lower arm both times). Scary products to say the least, cheap yes, but what price do you want to put on your safety? I'll look around and see what I can find for you.

Yep.........AIM = CRAP
I just tried a set of 3" lift springs on a 2x4 and I was not able to get them in and back together without cutting them down a bit. I ended up with about 2" of lift. Without replacing the upper control arm you probably wont be able to allign it either!!!!

Re: Lifting A longbed 2wd

i had an 82 longbed that i put a 3" lift on. First i got the rear leaf spring blocks (3") and put them on. No problems.

The front coils i replaced with 1 ton coils and it lifted it about 2 1/2". No problems, just a rough ass ride. You have to get an alignment soon after that as well.

After the coil springs beat me to death, i took them out, put the original 1/2 ton ones back in and had some rubber spacers put in. MUCH BETTER... 2wd trucks are EASY to lift and relatively cheap
