LT1 conversion help for 1970 suburban

I am just finishing putting a LT1 motor with a 4L60E transimission in my 1970 suburban high top ambulance. I need to find a converter to switch the electronic pulse transmision into a cable drive so I can use my original speedometer. doing a little research i came up with Cable X which would definitely do the trick but i was hoping to spend less than $300 to do so. I was wondering if anyone had one laying around or had another recomendation for me

If I remember correctly, Jagsthatrun have these for sale. I got mine from the local speedo repair shop. Good Luck - Paul

You can also buy a tailshaft that has provisions for both speedo hookups on it.

Like the previous person stated you can get a different tailshaft. I wish I would have went that route. I have the Cable X setup and it works ok. But you have to make sure on the tailshaft there is a special fitting. That is what the Cable X sensor picks up. The excitation of the moving tailshaft. It is a press on fitting.
