I made a little progress on the burb, just wanted to see what every one thinks. Got the bags on and the wheels and tires, thinking of doing a c-noch and 2 inch drop spindles in the front. It will still go down another 2 inches from where it sits in the pics. Also how do you guys feel about towing with a c-noch?

I like it looks sharp. I think it will look even better a litle lower like you plan on doing. What are you planning on towing?

Yea they are rock stars, and I need to tow my rock crawler with it. It is about 4000 lbs.

Can you go down 2" in the front? It looks like they are close to rubbing now.

It will go down another 2 in the front, they are actually all ready tucked behind the fenders a little. They go just behind the fenders, and I have the inner wells removed. Thanks for all the complements guys..

That is a nice burb you got there. If you drop 2'' don't plan on steering to much when aired out. It's nice to see another burb in Utah. What color are you going to paint it. :chevy:

I think that a 2 inch drop with those wheels would look awesome, super cool stance when it is on the floor

Those tires and wheels tuck really nice. Reminds me of one of those diecast 'dubs' cars my kids always buy at Wally.

I would really think hard about installing a cnotch for a tow vehicle. In this vintage truck the cnotch is behind all the suspension mounting points which is fine UNTIL you put weight on the rear of the frame. Maybe someone can chime in that has done this. I personally would not cnotch a tow vehicle in fear of the frame folding like a deck of cards.

Thanks, I just checked out yours, looks awsome! I am not sure of the color yet. You went through alot of work with yours, It makes me realize how lucky I am not having to deal with any rust!

Thanks guys, I am concerned about the noch on a tow vehicle too, thats why I havent done it yet, I think that with the propper reinforcing it would work out. I would like some more imput on this though, has any one ever done it?

What type of notch do you plan on using? Bolt in or weld in? I think you will be fine as long as you stay arount 4000 to 5000 lbs. I plan on pulling an 20 to 24' Airstream with mine and it's got a CPP bolt in notch. PM boardmember SCOTI, he's got a 68 SWB that is slammed and has a notch in it. It is he's daily driver that he uses to pull a 16-18' car trailer with.
