help me rear disc guys

i have replaced my rear axles in my 12 bolt with moser axles they are 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern 1/2 inch studs with the car size center, my question is whats the cheapest way to convert to rear disc, i know i will have to make a custom bracket but i need to know what rotar and caliper to use, every thing I have seen so far is for 5 on 5 bolt pattern and i don't think many car pattern rotors had 1/2 studs thanks for the help

the cheapest way is seldom the best but if thats what you want get a speedway moters catalog or visit your local dirtrack shop

79 pontiac firebird ws6 rotors are 5 on 4 3/4, thats what we used for a swap on a camaro, also check out kore3.com the make corvette brake conversions and corvettes are 5x4 3/4

also smileysracing sells weld on caluiper brackets for different calipers in different size axle tubes

what flange is on the axle original? if so caddilac brackets might work for you 77-79 el dorado/ seville backing plates and calipers but the rotors will have to come from the ws6 firebird

thanks for the help any more info would be appriciated, i did not specify my rearend is the stock 68 truck rear end but i ordered the axles with the car bolt pattern and center so that i could run the 12 wide drag lites and i had intended on running napa 260-1060 rear 11x2 drum witch fits old chevy cars with 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern but if its cheap enough id like to go disc...

if you dont mind welding on brackets check out 4wd front brackets they require some cutting and welding on but are far better than the flat brackets you buy. i'll never do it any other way again

Re: help me rear disc guys

Call these guys at http://www.kore3.com/index.php and there under devoplment with the 12 bolt rear but since you have the 5x4 3/4, there very helpful. Also check out http://www.tsmmfg.com/ they make a kit for the truck in 5 and 6 lug but its a 5x5 but if you look up 12 bolt truck and 12 bolt car on 64-77 impala's they have the same mounting flange and the kit is desiged for use with 5x4 3/4 so it will bolt up, I dont know if they sell just the brackets but you should be a able to use a 79-81 firebird ws6 rear rotors. I pieced together my disc on my 97 truck for under $200 but I only spent $85 on brackets from kore3 and got calipers from the junk yard for $30 with flex lines and rotors from car quest from a 94-96 implala ss rear for $50 for both, but those rotors and brackets wont work on your rear end just reserch the measurements of the rotors, brackets and the flange pattern and you should be able to piece up a kit for cheap
