Black Beauty on Seattle CL - again
This is the second listing. Last time it was listed at $7,000. Now it's down to $6,500. Looks like a good deal from the photo.

Re: Black Beauty on Seattle CL - again
I wonder what kind of TLC is needed on the black one?

Re: Black Beauty on Seattle CL - again
seems like more of these blazers and trucks are in the oregon/wash. area. I would of thought with all the rain, there wouldn't be as many left alive in that section of the country. Not to mention, all the talk of how bad the blazer tops leak, figured more blazers would of been sold to people in dryer climates. I'm in arizona now, and I guess I'm just surprised not to see more blazers around.

Re: Black Beauty on Seattle CL - again
I think a lot were sold originally in the Pacific Northwest because they appealed to the "outdoors" type. They have stood the test of time here because they don't (or didn't) salt the roads in the winter. You'll see less of them along the coast where there is more salt in the air, but the rain is fresh water so the rust isn't quite as bad as the mid-west and north coast rust belt areas. There are a lot in California where the convertable aspect was more appealing. I think many of the Northwest trucks didn't see much, if any, time with the top of in their early years, which helped keep the seals tight and moisture out of the insides.
All the rust-free AZ trucks have been sold the to the mid-west guys... |
