found this about an hour from my house. How can you tell if it's a true 50th anniversary edition?? Price is $900, but the ad is old and he said Make any offer...

the ad reads "1968 chevy C20 truck with no engine and tranny. Its a project but it is a nice one since its a CST (custom sport truck) so it has the bucket seats etc. It originally comes with a 327. I do have a 1970. 350V8 and a tranny that is available for extra cash. The front fenders have some dents but the car comes with two extra fenders. "

The original seat covers would give it away. If they are the white with the gold inserts. Another key is the gold dash pad. The real key is the option code. There is a specific option code, although I can't rememebr it off the top of my head.

Take a look on the SPID in the glove box, if it has 551 off white/gold for paint, and 627 Parchment trim, then BINGO.
If the SPID is missing, then the dash pad and sun visors should both be gold.
Bucket seats don't come with the CST, they were only part of the package in 67.
Double check the registration or back fees.
Those seats aren't original in there.

Re: Is this a 50th?????

Well, I called back and had him read the SPID numbers for me. It does have the option for the buddy buckets, and factory AC, but has Saddle trim, so no 50th.
When I said I was going to pass he said he wanted it gone and would take ANY offer. I'm sure 400 cash would get it.

So here's the link if anyone is interested in buddy buckets that come with a motorless truck... It's in the SF bay area...

Just to clarify...that`s not the 67/68 factory bucket seats in that truck. It is a later high-back syle of seat/seats.

that truck was for sale about a year ago pretty much in the same condition for $500. As I recall, the orginal bucket seats were in a barn where the truck was parked. At first, it looked like a 50th, but then you see the saddle int and the gold paint is a very bad looking paint job. (worst then miracle)... I saw this because my buddy brought one of the other trucks that this guy had. (Was the red and white flamed 68 3/4 work truck)
