Drop Kits

Has anyone here purchased a kit from McGaughy's? Are they quality parts? Does anyone know if they would fit heavy duty brakes? Here is the link from summit Here.
Should I just go with Belltech, or would summits parts be the same?
Thanks for the help and input.

Re: Drop Kits

The will fit, just have to order them for 1.25" (HD) rotors. I can get them..

Re: Drop Kits

Does that include shocks, or do I need to buy them seperate? Would I need special shocks for the drop?

Re: Drop Kits

The summit kit doesn't come with shocks if that is what you are asking. Generally a spindle/shackle/hanger kit for a 2.5/4 drop won't require new shocks.

Won't the rear require new shocks?
Or at least an "extender"?

I think you only need new shocks OR the shock extensions if you use a flip kit. I bought a flip kit and it came with the extensions but I ended up buying new "lowered" shocks from Summit and my truck rides great.

Re: Drop Kits

Does anyone have pictures of how a stock truck would sit with a flip kit and lowering springs and some with drop shackles/hangers and a drop spindle? Im curious to see the difference.

Re: Drop Kits

With a flip kit, you will need spindles AND springs to get it to set even.
On the 2/4 drops, you can get spindles or springs in the front, but if it was mine I would go with spindles...
