Does a FLIP KIT require the BED or FRAME to be clearanced?

When flipping the rear axle, do the frame rails need to be notched? Does the bed (fleet or step) require any trimming?

Thanks,
Ed

Is this just for a 5/5 drop or a 5/6 as well?

How much travel will that give you?

Well, I'll tell ya my truck is dropped at LEAST 7" in the back, and I haven't bottomed out yet:

Thanks for the pic. It was worth the proverbial thousand words. I see there's approximately six miles of space between the axle and the frame.

Nice pic. There's some decent travel there... Are the shock 'extenders' necessary or can you just use shorter shocks?

i know that i can't flip my axle without cutting a hole in the middle of the bed because i have the giant 14 bolt 10 1/2 ring axle. my gap between the top of the diff and bottom of the bed floor unloaded is 6 1/2 inches. you might want to double check.

They are Toxic Shocks and ride pretty stiff, butt then again I haven't even put 100 miles on them yet.
