Factory, OEM carpets??
Hi everyone. I got a carpet from LMC and put it in yesterday only to find out it is about 2" to small side to side and it looks like crap. I don't know if it will stretch out once the weather warms up but if I can find a source for a GM OEM carpet the LMC one is history and will go into my other truck.
The LMC carpet is thin at best. I don't like the quality at all. If someone knows a source for good carpets, OEM or not, please let me know. Many thanks, jim |
Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
ACC is the best IMO. CaptKaos (Chris) is a vendor and sells it.

Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
Make sure you got what you needed..........high hump, low hump...that might explain it being too narrow.
ACC is the way to go. You cn deal with them directly |
Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
I sell ACC carpet, it is listed here, they are 126.95 + 21 shipped...

Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
Chris: Thanks man. I will probably be in touch with you when money permits. The carpets you sell just like factory OEM? I worked for GM for 33 years and from what I read above there is a high or low hump?? Danmed if I know. It's an 84 regular cab with a 4 speed manual trans and 4 WD, that make a difference? I never noticed to tell the truth. I never did a bunch of inside work on these things. I was always into the greasy parts, LOL. Thanks, jim

Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
Jim, you have a high hump trans tunnel
|
Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
So you probably have "low hump" carpet. I think that's the problem. Hopefully you can return it!

Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
i got my carpet this year from LMC for my 64 man tranny (on the floor)- ordered the high hump, but there seemed to be extra fabric/ lots of slack at the seat side of the hump. is the LMC carpet fro ACC??

Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
2wd is low hump 4X4 is high hump
jeez capt you havent got enough colors to choose from LOL (kidding) |
Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
Hey Captkaos,
I see your carpets are from the seat forward, Do you have full coverage or know of a supplier for a quality full coverage (low tunnel) carpet ? Thanks |
Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
i think 2wd floor shift is high hump though. my dads was a 2wd column shift and his hump is definitely smaller
|
Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
I am going to have to figure this out somehow, mabey measure hump height or measure from floor flange to floor flange across the cab over the hump. Mabey just get the carpet for a high hump and cut off the excess at the doors. I do know I want full floor coverage, up under the seat and all. Chris, you have such s critter?

Re: Factory, OEM carpets??
Those of you with a "HIGH hump" measure your hump hiegth and post it here for all to see
Those of you with a low hump lets do the same so we ALL will know the difference. I'm going outside to measure mine right now to see how high it is. |
