Vega steering box / Pitman arm

So I am condisering switching to a Vega steering box in my 63 pick up. Currently I have a power set up and would like to A) loose the weight and B) make it a little less easy to steer (way too light on the big end IMO).

The shaft coming out of the box in to the Pitman arm is a different size than my truck and I don't have a pitman arm for the vega box. My questions:

Are there other vehicles that share the output shaft diameter for the vega?
If so, what cars?

Will the Vega box handle the added load the truck might have over the vega (Last time weighed it was 2,260 in front, but I have shaved about 100lbs there and will be shaving about 100 more)

Thanks in advance.

Shaun
