louvered cowl:photo or picks, any one have one. as i think this could be a nice easy bolt on mod with fuction ( keeping the leaves out ):chevy: 463

i saw one of these back in the late 70's early 80's and i think it was a custom one off. that thread in the parts form of the solid fiberglass got the gray matter stirred up. so why not a lovered cowl in steel and you could paint 360o (no rust ). the search did'nt turn up much. 463

i think i might pick up one do up the metal work on it and head over to the man with the metal stamping tool and back to paint. one off and i get the look i want. 463 slow typer

Mar-K sells these panels that are made to weld over the indent on the tailgates... maybe you could weld that in place of the opening on the cowl?

I know this is old... but who is this Mar-K he spoke of? Is this guy still around?

Measure the vents opening on your cowl and cut the metal to fit, take it have it stamped then weld it in place and have it painted.:chevy:

Thats not the design I would go for, plus I was looking for the whole cowl ready to install. Ive been doing enough welding patches, Im about sick of it.

Here is my 2 cents worth, really easy to stick aluminum window screen under the grill, using whatever caulk. In my case, free, and I'm mechanically challenged.

Its not leaves Im worried about keeping out.. its finding something louvered to match the louvered visor I have...
